Who's behind Photo Locations?

I'm Othmar Fetz – photographer and digital project developer. For over 20 years, I've been designing and building platforms that combine clarity and function.

The idea for Photo Locations came from personal experience: Finding good locations takes time – and often luck. This app is here to change that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the app only for iPhone?

Currently yes – Photo Locations is available as a native iOS app for iPhone. An Android version is planned but not yet in development. However, shared collections work on any device in the browser.

Can I keep my own locations private?

Yes! You decide for each location whether it's publicly visible to the community or just for you. Private locations are completely invisible to other users.

Do my clients need the app?

No. When you share a collection, clients receive a link that works in the browser – on phone, tablet or desktop. No download required.

How does the community work?

Photographers can share locations publicly. These are instantly visible to everyone. This way, a collection of the best photo spots grows – by the community, for the community. Of course, you can also just discover without contributing yourself.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, the Creator subscription can be cancelled monthly – directly through your Apple Account. After cancellation, you keep access to all basic features of the Community plan.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your private locations and collections are only visible to you. Data is transmitted encrypted and hosted in the EU. We don't sell user data.
